For the last couple of years, I have been engaged as a Java developer and business intelligence consultant in a dozen different projects and products. I covered sereral layers of responsibilities. On the one hand, I mostly did software development, requirements engineering, and quality assurance. On the other hand, I was also involved in application support, consulting, as well as instructing and training new colleagues.

I studied IT-Systems Engineering at the renown Hasso-Plattner-Institut (HPI) in Potsdam, Germany. According to the CHE university ranking, it is one of the Top 3 places in Germany to study information technology.
I wrote my master's thesis about outbreak analyses algorithms and their efficient implementation. My academic mentor and supervisor at the HPI was Prof. Felix Naumann, who is an expert in the area of information systems.
My master's thesis was awarded with the TDWI-Award for the best Master's Thesis in 2015 and also got a nomination for the German Science Award.
